I take it back, I changed my mind. Being busy is not nearly as much fun as not being busy! Being this busy just stresses me out and I've had enough of this hectic way of living. Luckily, in less than two weeks, I'll hopefully be much more mellowed out as I sip a Mai Tai on a white sand beach. Until that time comes, my hands will remain stained with acrylic paint. My brain will constantly be flustered as I try to sift through all my belongings and decide what comes with me and what stays in storage. Everyday I'll be aiming to cross off an item on my three page "To Do" List with glee. Luckily, I'll get to to cross off " Update my blog" right after I post this...that is, if I can ever finish writing this post. It's taken me over an hour and a half just to write this wee paragraph; I'm struggling. So, to make this happen, I think I'll just finish it up with this last bit of info: It's the simple act of wearing a dress each week that has helped keep me sane. I knew I had all of these dresses for a reason.
It's really not the dresses that have kept me from going bonkers...it's my beyond awesome friends that I get to go out and wear these dresses with that really keep me smiling. During an evening out at my friend's Vanessa's Fall craft party, I found peace in her garden of corn.
Shucking and consuming nearly 100 oysters between 5 people for my friend Em's birthday definitely took my mind off my mind.
Meeting the most interesting man in the world while enjoying margaritas and a delicious Mexican meal with my girl Billie was very stimulating.
This last weekend I finally got to wear my feather dress with my ladies Vanessa, Andrea and Gabrielle. We dressed the part as 1920s gals. Adorned with feathers and pearls we sipped gimlets and absinthe at the famous San Francisco speakeasy Bourbon and Branch. There's really nothing like dancing and dressing up that soothes the soul!
